Sand Lubbers has created a proven crowd pleaser at our recent competitions; “QuickSand®” is a speed sculpting competition where two seasoned master sand sculptors are pitted against each other, head to head, in a timed ‘sculpt-off’!

How it Works
Sand Lubbers has specially designed podiums equipped with advertising space on the front and rotating platforms, or “battle rings”, on top that hold a 5 gallon pound-up of virgin sand. Two competing sculptors take their place behind their respective podium and await the event’s ringmaster to introduce the competitors. And then, to present the time on the clock, and finally, to start the match by announcing the subject matter to be sculpted. The battlers then have ten minutes to best represent the subject, all the time spinning the battle rings so the audience can closely observe the fast and furious progress. With sand flying left and right the ringmaster color commentates with sand facts, tricks and tips and humorous interjections until ‘time’ is called and the battlers lay down their weapons to ready for the audience’s judgment. The ringmaster asks for applause to choose the winner who will continue to the next round on their way to the championship!

“QuickSand®” and Your Event
We here at Sand Lubbers deliberately designed “QuickSand®” to be able to interject crowd excitement into an event at whatever point we feel it’s needed. We space out bouts throughout the day in an attempt to maintain our crowd attendance. The longer guests attend, the better the event appears and the more money our vendors make.

“QuickSand®” is not only a great addition to any sand event as an additional activity; it is also an excellent revenue generator.

Sponsorship Information
We have found it easy to find sponsors for “QuickSand®”. Keep in mind when talking to a potential sponsor. It is a very popular crowd draw. Everyone wants to see how fast these sculptors can create. The audience will gather two or three times in a day, and for ten minutes they all will be staring directly at the podiums with the sponsor’s logo emblazoned on the front of each one. The ringmaster will repeatedly announce “Keep in mind “QuickSand®” is brought to you by…” and read a written description of their business. Once your sponsor is found, let them know they will also be offered the first option to sponsor “QuickSand®” the following year and chances are you won’t ever have to look for a sponsor again. Sand Lubbers will do everything we can to help you find your first sponsor for “QuickSand®”.
